Cupcakes, and Ponies, the Circus, Oh My!

Last Saturday was a whirlwind of celebration. Here are a few highlights from the day...

-Samuel admiring all the cupcakes and saying a hundred times that he wants the blue one.
-Decorating the cupcakes, the kids laying on so much frosting. Eva doubled up on the good stuff.
-Scott, the birthday girl's dad, is trying so hard to get Samuel to talk to him. Samuel, who chose to sit away from everyone else on purpose, is totally ignoring him.
-Samuel only ate half of the frosting off one of his mini-cupcakes and spent the rest of the time crawling on the floor. I thought Eva's cupcakes were beautiful.
-Thank you Sara!
-The pony spent a lot of time eating the tomotoes and was so easy going.
-Samuel sporting the glasses from the cupcake party.
-Samuel and the brithday girl.
-Thanks Drew!
-Proof that my origami skills are practical and handy. The kids chowing popcorn out of the the napkins that I folded. Samuel ended up giving up on the little napkin and ended up with his entire arm in the bucket and just shoveling the stuff into his mouth.
-The circus is great but there is just so much going on. With all the girls wearing just a little more than feathers and motorcycles and giant ferocious animals and flashing lights and clowns... I kind of realized that in the order of people that the circus caters to, a girl like me comes in dead last. I was completely overwhelmed. When they brought out the tigers my system seriously just shut down and (if you know me well you might not be surprised) I totally fell asleep.
-During intermission the kids started climbing all over the chairs (except for Katie, whose parents teach her manners). Eva ended up making friends with the girl behind us and sat with her . Cracks me up. Look at her sharing her sharing her party loot (she carried that thing around all day).
-After the circus we took Trax back to Karl's work, where we parked. There was a band playing at the Gallivan center. The kids danced so hard and some girl joined them (it was really late and so I'm thinking, "Why is this little girl out so late?" and then I realize, "Oh, wait, my kids are out." So the answer is... crazy parents). Eva ended up daring to get in the fountain and was mad because she was so cold.
-Phew. What a day.
