Saturday Night at Deer Valley

Once again, thanks to Karl's work, we have stepped out of our normal lives and had a night of fancy stuff. We made it up there in time for the buffet (if you know us, you know we were late). Two firsts for me... lamb shank and prickly pear. The salad was so good that I would have eaten more if we weren't the last ones left in the dining room. I was kind of freaked out by eating the shank (should I know what that is?) of some little lamb (thanks to the nursery rhyme, every lamb in my mind is little). The prickly pear had a ton of seeds and I wasn't sure how to eat or enjoy it, pretty, though.
The show was the Utah Symphony and some Broadway people and was actually a lot of fun to listen to. Michelle and all you blackberry widows, that crackberry picture is for you... a night out with dinner, a show and uh, the blackberry. Do I sound bitter? Actually, Karl just bought me my own gadget for our anniversary so I am now starting to understand the whole addiction.
On the way home there was traffic that went on forever. I think it took us about an hour and a half to get through a canyon that usually takes about 20 minutes. I pulled out my new toy and we started watching some of our favorite clips. Made the very painful traffic, well, a little less painful. It was almost worth the motion sickness...
I don't know if these guys are as funny if you haven't seen the whole series but give it a try and let me know what you think. Flight of the Conchords are way way way high up there on the things that make me laugh list. I am giggling just thinking about them.

You might have to be a Footloose fan (which I so am)...

Thanks for the great laugh from those clips!Sounds like you had an elegant night out. Yes, I know the blackberry addiction all too well. It accompanies us wherever we go because "What if an F-16 crashed" and Brian needed to be reached so he could run out and take pictures?

We have a ton of friends who are in love with F of the C. It's silly. That's great you were able to go on a group date (you, karl and ms. berry) I bet you all had a great time :) You'll have to share with us what fun gadget you got that is addicting.

Love the clips... and I hear you on the craving comments! Sometimes I log on just to see if there are any new comments... and it's so disappointing when there are not! I'll try to always leave one for you! Em

Michelle, that cracks me up that you have friends that are into it. Their clothes totally remind me of Ben... and many a friend from my college days. Karl got me an iphone for our 9 year anniversary and I have never even had an ipod so it is all so new and exciting to me.
Nikki, It's Business Time cracks me up every time.

I love Flight of the choncords myself. Can't wait for another season. There is a guy in our scooter club from Seattle that looks just like Germain.
