We had a couple names for the first name. When it came down to it, Karl flipped a coin (and his mom said a secret prayer) and it was decided...
Maximus. Not a family name this time. Just a great name. Eva, Sam, Max! Sounds great when we are in a rush, doesn't it?
His middle name is Taisei (sounds like tie-say), Japanese for achieve greatness. The best part? No one will have any troubles saying it. We put a lot of thought into this one.
So far, it's been a lot of eating, sleeping, and staring. Oh, and one great big spit up. Just a little reminder to his parents what that stack of burp clothes is for.
Thanks for joining us Maximus. Just for doing so, I already know you are a brave brave brave little boy.

Welcome Maximus!!! I love the name of course. Someday my Max and your Max will get together and talk about all the things they have in common (hair, eye color, skin pigment excluded, they'll find similarities right??) :)
Glad to hear things are going well. Keep us posted.
All our best to you and Maximus. I can't believe you are such a prolific blogger/tweeter even having just delivered numero tres.
Love the name! It's a perfect fit. Names were tricky for us this round too. Can't wait to meet the little critter.

Welcome... sweet little boy! I love the his name... so cute!
I assume Grandma was voting for this name and not the other? So funny! I think it is a great name and seems to already be the right choice.
Welcome to the family Maximus.
