baby maximus: changes

Karl's mom sent us this little collage of photos that I we have posted on FB.  Happy times.  Easter Maximus, Sumo Maximus, Running from the Waves Like a Baby Model in Euro Swimmie Maximus.
Now he is Hospital Maximus, Burn Maximus, Ripped Out His IV with His Feet Skills Maximus, Feeding Tube Maximus, Hugs the Giant Cheetah Stuck in Hippo Body Maximus, Muffin Hand Teddy Bear Paw Maximus, Skin Grafts and Dressing Changes Maximus.
Today is his last day of Oahu Maximus and tomorrow morning he will be Intermountain Burn Center in Utah Maximus.  Finally Gets to See Eva and Samuel Maximus.

It was a hard decision to leave the aloha, generosity, and caring of Hawaii and make the transfer to the love, support, and familiarity of family in Utah.  Leaving one good place for another.

Wish us luck on the transfer.  I would need luck if Maximus was healthy :/.

Christina - I am so amazed at your strength through all of this. I know you have so much support here already, but if you need anything at all while you are in Salt Lake, please call me. I would love to help in any way that I can.

I am so happy for you to be here with your family. Although your friends in Hawaii have been completely wonderful, there is nothing like family support. Prayers for the plane trip.

I'm glad you get to be with family! I'm sure the hospital there will be just as wonderful as the one in Hawaii, but I wish you could take the familiarity with you! Good luck! I hope the plane ride goes quickly & smoothly!

Are you moving back, or is it just temporary until Maximus gets better? Either way, please feel free to call me if you need anything, even if it's just to have Samuel and Eva come play one day. I would love to help out if I can! (801)403-6638

YAY!! I hope he travels well...I've been hearing stories of families getting kicked off of airplanes if their kids are too loud but those bandages and sweet brown eyes ought to melt everyone's hearts. Can't wait to see you all!

Good luck Christina. It must be difficult to watch you little boy in pain but hopefully this trip back home will be what he needs.

I know it must have been a hard decision. It seems like it is the right one to me. You will have so much family and so many friends to help. (I wish I was one of them) I really want to hug you and Muffin hand Teddy bear Maximus.
I am so thankful to all of your adopted Hawaiian family and how they have supported you.
Are you flying with Max? Or is he taking some special medical plane? I hope he travels peacefully.
Many prayers still coming your way.

I think coming back to Utah is a good idea. You have family here to help with your other kiddos and something about family having your kids is a little less stressful... at least for me that's always how it feels. Now that you are in Utah soon... please let me know if you need anything. Kristy and I are here to help in anyway we can. Praying for baby Max and much love your way.

Christina I just read Max's story from the begining. I wanted to let you know that I will keep your little family in my prayers. You are a wonderful, good mom. Max is so lucky to have you.
