Saw these snowflakes in a store last year.
With the help of this tutorial I got my own this year.
Also did these ornaments for the kitchen. Realized that I love hanging things from ceiling and Karl hates hitting his head on them every time he passes. Didn't even cross this shorty's mind.
Got the idea from this awesome blog.
This year Karl decorated the gingerbread house with the kids while I made the advent calendar with friends. Let's just say that he should be the one in charge of the gingerbread house from now on. He is way better at it. When I was in charge it did not look this good for sure. Two years ago I let the kids just put a huge smiley face on the front and we called it good.
Went to a cookie exchange. Spent way too much time making a bajillion of these cuties. Karl and the kids liked them. Me, not so much. Nothing like spending HOURS baking cookies only to find out you don't like them, right? Cuter to look at...
Also make these advent calendars with friends. Was fun just to talk to be creative.
I love that Christmas means more stuff to make. Except when I procrastinate. Like right now.

I made those snowflakes years ago and have wished I could remember how. Thanks for posting the link. I think those advent calendars are so cute. You do lots of fun things!
Love the paper decor. I am so lucky to have seen them with my own eyes! I want to try the snowflakes. Kitty is a perfectionist with her gingerbread house. It took about six hours to complete ours.
Love the snowflakes. Thanks for the link!
ooooo. . .
You're always up to something spectacular. Can I just be you?
love. love. love the countdown.
I love the snowflakes. And love that you do so many fun things with the kids for Christmas. My poor kids have missed out this year since I have been too busy planing our big move back!
those cookies look like the best things i've ever seen. even if you didn't like them, you have to get some type of domestic goddess points for how good they look.
Let's just call you Martha! That advent calender is really neat. Karl and the kids did great on the gingerbread houses. I just can't believe there is just one more week until Christmas.
I love all your fun projects...and how much you love making them. :) It's inspiring. Merry Christmas!
p.s. we've been out of stamps for a couple of weeks, I finally bought some yesterday...your check will be on the way soon!
Love these ideas, thanks for sharing.
(wishing I would actually sit down and do them, but know I probably won't. maybe next year.)
Great ideas!
I am like Marilyn - I made those snowflakes years ago too. You need to show me how to make them again. The chocolate cookies are beautiful to look at. Too bad you didn't like the way they tasted. I've been so busy getting ready for Christmas, that I am just getting to catch up on reading the blogs I usually follow.
wow. you are so creative! since january is such a blah month, i think we will have to try those snowflakes.
