Every Thanksgiving Karl makes rolls. They are always a huge production and an even bigger hit. We jokingly called them Midnight Rolls, because that is when he makes them.
My sister hosted and like always, the spread was beautiful. I made the salad (the layered salad has been our tradition for as long as I can remember) veggies and dip, and pecan honey butter. Not shown but not to be forgotten, the chocolate and pumpkin Nothing Bundt Cakes.
The tables were beautiful. She got the chocolate turkeys thinking that the kids would treasure them. Instead, we had kids begging to eat them the whole meal. I had just barely sat down to eat and Samuel came running up and said, "Can I be done?" Knowing Samuel, I knew he had not eaten anything yet so I said, "Go eat your turkey." He came back with chocolate all over his mouth and asked again, "Can I be done?" I checked his plate and his meat was still sitting there. He ate the chocolate turkey. He is such a monkey, and, well, I guess I need to be more clear next time.

Did you know that my favorite channel is Food Network? Just thought you'd appreciate that. Your post makes me hungry for my leftovers. Too bad they're long gone.
I love the long and lean cut vegetables. I'll have to try that sometime. Those rolls do look pretty yummy!
I am very impressed with your hubby's roll-making skills. Everything looks perfect! Also, for the last 32 years that i've been around, and probably much longer, my family has always had that same layered salad. Is it the one with the mayo and bacon? MMM so good.
Well...if the lawyer thing doesn't work out, it looks like he's got a back-up plan.
I love that Karl makes rolls. That's cool. I think my hubby thinks Thanksgiving dinner appears out of nowhere :-). Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving. And, I love the story about Samuel and the turkey. He was so happy when you said, "Go eat your turkey!".
beautiful.
Karl got Ryan started on those rolls and he made them as well.
